All of these folders have to be extracted on your
/home/$USER folder, overwriting everything if you already have the same files from an older installation.PhotoGIMP should be available on your applications list, GIMP should be gone. Try to start PhotoGIMP at least once before proceed.
Configure as Default Application (optional)
- Press Special-Key and search for “Mime Type Editor” or “Extensions” (install via snap)
- Set PhotoGIMP for JPEG
- Logout and login to make sure changes got applied
- Open “Default Applications”
- Set Shotwell or PhotoGIMP as Default
- Open Shotwell and set PhotoGIMP as external editor
